Quality Assurance Professional

BC Platforms is looking for a Quality Assurance professional to enhance product quality through pro-active participation in the overall development process including development of automated testing to join our R&D in Espoo, Finland.

As our Quality Assurance professional you will be responsible for ensuring software solutions are performing as expected, and for continuous improvement and automation of testing processes and methods.  Quality Assurance professional, in cooperation with solution experts, leads the effort in creation of software test plans, requirements, specifications, and test cases. This role understands deeply the user requirements and use cases and works closely with the development team to identify risks related to new software features and develops methods to detect any software malformities. In addition, the role includes continuous improvement of testing processes and methods (automation of testing). You will be responsible for ensuring test documentation is appropriately maintained (test plans, test results, test cycles), for performing software risk management, and documentation related to software releases such as verification and validation reports. Testing experience with Healthcare products is considered as an advantage. 

What you will be working with:

• Understand collected user requirements for software functionalities and turn requirements to test cases and plans
• Execute software testing (both automated and manual)
• Continuously improve the automated test framework (test automation tools and languages, CI automation pipelines etc)
• Document test results, defects according to quality requirements and company R&D guidelines
• Implement, maintain and continuously improve documentation related to software development quality and security management process and other regulatory requirements. Relevant areas are e.g. reporting of test results, software verification and validation reporting, feature and anomaly risk analysis and reporting, and software release documentation.

Qualifications/requirements for this position:

• BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar degree 
• Any Test Engineering, Health Technology and/or Life Science or Bioinformatics studies will be considered as your advantage.
• Testing experience with Healthcare products is considered as an advantage.
• Previous work experience in software testing in a similar field, under similar or identical quality and security requirements Quality Management System (ISO 13485), and Information Security Management System (ISO 27001) will be considered as your advantage.
• Verification, test engineering skills

• Understanding concepts such as risk analysis based on test planning and verification processes

• Issue tracking tools, Jira
• Experience with CI pipelines/ automation including some of these:
• Test automation tools and languages like Robot Framework / Selenium, Java
• CI automation pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Puppet
• Any programming/scripting skills and ability to read code in multiple languages will be to your advantage (Python, Shell or other scripting languages, Java)

• Capability to create and maintain documentation following requirements for Quality Management System (ISO 13485), and Information Security Management System (ISO 27001)
• Basic Unix tools/commands/Basic knowledge of databases (Postgres) and SQL/Basic knowledge of Cloud solutions/ Basic knowledge of Dockers/Basic knowledge version control, Git
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills in English
• Driven by a desire to learn and make progress getting things done and help colleagues to succeed

The location for this position is Espoo, Finland.
