The Senior Integrations Specialist is being brought in during an exciting and pivotal time of growth for BC Platforms. As we partner with organizations looking to rapidly develop effective treatments, improve patient outcomes, and build novel approaches to healthcare; our deployment footprint is scaling rapidly. We develop our software to serve the needs of our valued customers, and repeatable, quality integrations are critical to our joint success.
The role:
As a Senior Integrations Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing customer needs, developing robust integration solutions, troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues, and providing ongoing support. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including the Technical Operations department, to build and enhance our integration competence and delivery capability. You will have the opportunity to shape our integrations strategy and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
This role offers tremendous growth and professional development opportunities in a quickly growing company. The Senior Integrations Specialist will report directly to the Head of Technical Operations and will be responsible for building BC Platforms integration competence and delivery capability.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Development of new and maintenance of existing integrations for enterprise customer environments, to support the institution’s strategic goals and customer requirements.
- Analyzing needs, determining specifications/requirements, developing solutions, troubleshooting and supporting integrations and integration platforms.
- Provide production support for integrations such as troubleshooting and resolving reported issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for all integrations.
- Implement enhancements for existing integrations such as optimizing integration performance.
- Cross-train technical care team to assist with maintenance of integrations.

- Craft and execute ad-hoc integrations while developing a broader integrations strategy for a fast-growing company in a dynamic market.
- Synthesize software limitations and customer needs to create maintainable and scalable integrations.
- Collaborate globally and across functions, demonstrating clear and concise communication, flexibility, empathy, and educational skills.

- The performance will be measured against key deliverables defined by the VP of Technical Delivery on a quarterly basis, as well as feedback from the Regional Director.
Knowledge, experience and capabilities:
Formal education and professional experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in system, healthcare, or data integrations.
Important operational experience:
- Strong experience with ETL integrations and related technologies.
- Proficiency in healthcare integration technologies such as HL7, XML, Web Service, SQL/Oracle, and FHIR API's.
- Familiarity with integration engines, messaging gateways, and iPAAS platforms.
- Working knowledge of third-party API integration (REST and SOAP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Python, Java, and SQL.
- Ability to work with data in file formats like XML, CSV, and JSON.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, C, and C++.
- Experience integrating with Keycloak or Azure Active Directory for authentication.
- Familiarity with standardized data models like OMOP.
- Understanding of Docker and containerization principles.
- Proficiency in integrating authentication protocols such as OpenID and OAuth 2.0.
- Five (5) years of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, Openstack).
- Familiarity with integrating Jupyterhub, RStudio, or SAS platforms for data analysis.
Additional Information
The position is available as a hybrid-remote full-time position for those in Finland. The company operates with a Hybrid Work Model, which consists of both working from the office as well as remotely from the home office where applicable.
