Why we'd love to work with you
We're looking for a high-performing Senior Sales Executive with deep life sciences and healthcare data experience. You have a track record of winning new business, building senior executive relationships, and leading complex RWD/RWE sales from initial prospecting through contract execution. You understand how pharmaceutical and biotech organizations use real-world evidence to support development, regulatory, market access, medical affairs, and commercialization objectives.
As our next Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for winning new life sciences business and expanding strategic accounts in the United States or in the United Kingdom. This role leads complex, consultative sales cycles for BC Platforms’ real-world data, real-world evidence, technology, analytics, and scientific service solutions.
This is a quota-carrying role with full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline generation through contract signature and account growth.
The successful candidate combines executive presence, life sciences domain knowledge, commercial discipline, and a solutions mindset to translate customer priorities into high-value, fit-for-purpose engagements.
4 reasons to join us
Be part of a global organization helping life sciences teams generate more timely, decision-ready evidence from complex health data
Shape strategic customer partnerships, work with differentiated data and technology capabilities, and directly influence growth in a high-impact market
Collaborate with cross-country, multicultural teams on impactful projects
Enjoy autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to make a measurable impact on healthcare innovation
What you will do
You will own the full commercial lifecycle, from territory and account planning, prospecting and discovery through solution design, proposal development, negotiation, contracting, close, and account growth.
You will maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts, coordinate internal experts, and ensure a disciplined transition from signed agreement to delivery while remaining accountable for long-term account value.
As a senior individual contributor, you'll have significant autonomy in territory strategy, account planning, opportunity leadership, and customer engagement while operating within agreed commercial, pricing, legal, and governance frameworks.
Your key responsibilities
Revenue delivery: Achieve or exceed annual bookings and revenue quota across new and existing life sciences accounts.
Pipeline creation: Build and maintain sufficient qualified pipeline through targeted prospecting, executive networks, partner channels, industry events, referrals, and coordinated campaigns.
Strategic account development: Create territory and account plans for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, and other priority life sciences organizations.
Consultative discovery: Engage senior stakeholders across R&D, clinical development, RWE, HEOR, market access, medical affairs, regulatory, data science, IT, and commercial functions to clarify business questions, decision criteria, and value drivers.
Solution selling: Shape integrated solutions using BC Platforms’ global data network, bespoke datasets and evidence networks, federated technology, trusted research environments, harmonization, analytics, and scientific expertise.
Complex deal leadership: Orchestrate multistakeholder sales processes, including business cases, RFIs/RFPs, demonstrations, proposals, bid defenses, security and privacy reviews, pricing, and contract negotiations.
Executive relationships: Build trusted, credible relationships with customer executives, scientific leaders, procurement, legal, privacy, and technology stakeholders.
Cross-functional collaboration: Mobilize Data, Product, Scientific Services, Consulting, Delivery, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and executive sponsors to create differentiated customer outcomes.
Forecast and CRM discipline: Maintain timely, accurate opportunity data, next steps, close plans, risk assessments, and forecasts.
Account expansion: Identify cross-sell, up-sell, renewal, and multi-year growth opportunities while supporting strong customer outcomes and references.
Market intelligence: Bring customer, competitor, regulatory, and market insights back into commercial strategy, product positioning, and solution development.
External representation: Represent BC Platforms at conferences, customer workshops, and industry forums with a clear, credible point of view on RWD, RWE, and evidence generation.
What success will look like
Achievement or overachievement of annual bookings and revenue quota.
Healthy qualified pipeline coverage, progression, and forecast accuracy.
New logo acquisition and expansion within strategic accounts.
Win rate, sales-cycle effectiveness, and quality of commercial terms.
Customer satisfaction, repeat business, and effective handoff to delivery.
What makes you a strong fit
10+ years of demonstrated success selling into mid-market and large pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or life sciences organizations.
Proven experience carrying an individual quota and independently generating new business opportunities within life sciences, healthcare data, RWD, RWE, clinical research, or related markets.
Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding a substantial individual sales quota and closing complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder agreements.
Proven success selling real-world data (RWD), real-world evidence (RWE), healthcare data, evidence generation solutions, clinical research services, or related life sciences solutions into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device organizations, including complex multi-stakeholder buying processes.
Candidates whose background is primarily general software or SaaS sales without healthcare/life sciences data experience are unlikely to be a fit for this role.Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical product lifecycle and the evidence needs of clinical, regulatory, medical, HEOR, market access, and commercial teams.
Ability to sell outcomes and solutions rather than standalone products, translating ambiguous customer challenges into commercially viable engagements.
Demonstrated ability to create pipeline through proactive prospecting, executive networking, industry relationships, referrals, and strategic account development.
Experience navigating data privacy, governance, security, procurement, and contracting considerations in healthcare or life sciences.
Established relationships within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, or adjacent life sciences organizations.
Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and written proposal skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and disciplined opportunity, pipeline, and forecast management.
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, business, technology, or a related field; advanced degree is advantageous.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. As English is our official working language, you must be able to communicate naturally and independently in all business situations.
You’ll stand out if you have
Direct experience selling multinational RWD or RWE studies, bespoke datasets, federated data access, trusted research environments, AI-enabled analytics.
Familiarity with observational research, external control arms, trial feasibility, patient finding, post-market studies, HEOR, outcomes research, or evidence strategy.
Experience working across US, UK, European, or global stakeholder groups and managing cross-border sales processes.
Knowledge of major therapeutic areas such as oncology, neurology, cardiology, immunology, or rare disease.
Experience in a growth-stage, entrepreneurial, or matrixed international organization.
The strengths you'll bring to the team
A customer-centric, consultative, and solutions-oriented approach
Commercial drive, ownership, and resilience
Strategic thinking and the ability to turn insight into action
Credibility with scientific, technical, and executive audiences
A collaborative mindset and accountability for results
Clear, candid, and trustworthy communication
Confidence working independently in a fast-moving global environment
You'll likely be successful in this role if you have experience with:

Life sciences technology organizations
